General Information
Watermelons have oval shape and
are big, some reaching 30 pounds (13 kg). The skin is hard and can be
dark or light green depending on the variety.
It benefits the skin because it
has vitamin C and beta carotenes which have high antioxidant
power. It is suitable for preventing certain types of cancer and
kidney illnesses.
Everything can be used out of
this fruit: from its seeds you can make a tea which acts as a
laxative, and the pureed skin can be used as a cataplasm for the
liver and vesicle zones.
